Wash Away the Wax!
You know better than to take a bite out of a piece of produce bought straight from the store! Produce is often covered in dirt, chemicals, or wax. A simple rinse under the water faucet isn’t good enough to wash away these potentially harmful substances. You definitely don’t want to scrub them down with soap and a sponge, either. So, what do you do?
Did you know you can make a natural scrub to wash away those residues and substances? Simply combine a few teaspoons of baking soda with 1-2 cups of water and mix well to create it! You can either add the mixture into a spray bottle or keep it in a large mixing bowl, whichever is easiest for you to wash your produce. Thoroughly rinse your fruit or veggies after applying the scrub, and your produce should be clean and ready to go!
