Texarkana Hometown Hero: Natalie Haywood
We would like for you to meet this week’s Hometown Hero: Natalie Haywood!
Natalie is the Director of Events and Communication for the Texarkana USA Regional Chamber of Commerce. She’s been part of the chamber since February 2019! Her greatest professional accomplishment was helping her team at the Texarkana Chamber earn the Leadership Texarkana Wilbur Award for Organization of the Year in 2020. They are honored and humbled to win such a prestigious award.
Natalie loves the people in Texarkana. She wasn’t surprised when the city was named one of the nicest places in Amercia! She considers it a perk to bump into someone she knows everywhere she goes. According to Natalie, “It makes you feel valued and connected to the community.”
In her personal life, Natalie considers her children her greatest accomplishment. They are her full-time job, and her time at the Chamber is her side gig. She once heard someone say, “You’ve really done well as a parent if someone other than a family member likes your kid.” That’s become her goal since hearing it. During her free time, Natalie loves visiting her parents’ cabin in Arkansas. “It’s a nice getaway for family and friends,” she said.
Fun Fact: I raced autocross in my first car, a Mazda Miata.
