Spice It Up
You probably shouldn’t rub salt in a wound, but it’s okay to add a little pepper! This hack is going to get a little spicy, so we hope you’re ready!
If the cut is bad, we would prefer you come into your nearest Healthcare Express where we treat it all! But if you happen to be in the middle of making dinner for yourself or the family, this tip is for you!
Black pepper is naturally antibacterial, and it also makes blood coagulate quickly and stops bleeding. It was commonly used by soldiers in WWII to help control bleeding, and even today it is often used in professional kitchens to stop cuts from bleeding. It makes you wonder if Gordon Ramsey ever had to use it on his bloody finger...
It’s extremely easy to use black pepper to stop bleeding! Just pour the pepper directly on the cut. Be sure to be generous! We want to make sure that bleeding stops! Make sure the ground black pepper gets onto the wound and apply pressure (we recommend applying a bandage, but that’s totally up to you). With that, it should quickly stop bleeding!
If the wound appears to be deep and you can’t get the bleeding under control, do not hesitate to come to Healthcare Express. We are here to help you with all of life’s little urgencies! Check back tomorrow to see what the last hack of the month will be!
