Sherwood Hometown Hero: Tracy Allen
We would like for you to meet this week’s Hometown Hero: Tracy Allen!
Tracy has been the principal at Sylvan Hills High School for ten years. He is proud to serve as the principal of the best high school in Central Arkansas and his alma mater. Tracy is also a member of AAEA, NASSP, and Arkansas Leadership Academy.
During the Christmas season, Tracy’s favorite volunteer opportunity is the Christmas Closet at Central Baptist Church in North Little Rock. This event provides an opportunity for families in need to come shop for gifts for their children without any financial burden. “We prepare a meal for them before they shop for their presents and it is awesome to see how happy people are to be able to provide Christmas presents for their children that may not normally be able to do so,” Tracy explains. All participants at the Christmas Closet are also able to take part in a Christmas sermon so they can also have their spiritual needs met!
Tracy is proud to be able to travel with his family every year to see some of the best sights the country has to offer. He feels blessed to take these vacations to make memories with his family. In his free time, Tracy loves to be outdoors. He enjoys kayaking, hunting, fishing, hiking, and just about any other outdoor activity!
