Sherwood Hometown Hero: Shelby Thomas
We would like for you to meet this week’s Hometown Hero: Shelby Thomas!
During the day, Shelby works as an account manager for Seyller Electric, but on Wednesday nights and Sundays he is a student pastor at First NLR. Shelby has been with Seyller for three months, but he’s been in the electrical distribution sales industry for eight years. Recently, Shelby was elected to serve on the Pulaski County Special School District Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Sherwood Rotary Club and serves on the Board of Directors of the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce. Out of all of these volunteer services Shelby is part of, his favorite is the Pulaski County Special School District Board of Directors. He loves the opportunity it gives him to make a difference in the lives of the students and teachers in his community.
Shelby’s favorite thing about Sherwood is how everyone is like family. He is proud to be raising his family here in Sherwood. He views his family as his greatest personal accomplishment. Shelby has been married for 26 years and has four children. In his free time, Shelby loves traveling with his family and finding one of a kind restaurants wherever they go.
FUN FACT: When I’m not working I love to cook for my family and friends.
