Nature's Sports Drink
Stop chugging Gatorade and other sports drinks and crack open a coconut! Well, you don’t have to actually crack open a coconut, but you should definitely consider replacing those sugary sports drinks with coconut water. Don’t get coconut water confused with its high-fat cousin, coconut milk. Unlike coconut milk, coconut water is a clear liquid taken from a young coconut instead of the matured version of the fruit.
Coconut water is high in electrolytes and its sugars are more easily digestible and processed by the body than those found in sports drinks. On top of that, it has fewer calories, less sodium, and more potassium than a Gatorade. So, not only is it healthier for you, the potassium will keep your muscles from cramping up while you work out or while you’re playing your favorite sport.
