Atlanta Hometown Hero: Miranda Johnson
We would like for you to meet this week’s Hometown Hero: Miranda Johnson!
Miranda Johnson is a member of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce where she works in City Development. She is also a member of the Atlanta Lions Club, the Texas Downtown Association, and is involved in various Chamber professionals groups. Miranda also currently serves on the CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital Atlanta Foundation Board. She enjoys this opportunity because the hospital provides both care and jobs to the people in the community. Miranda also feels blessed being able to serve in the children’s ministry at her church.
Last year, Miranda received a Community Champion Award form the Community Development Institue. “I was so honored to be chosen because I have such great respect for my fellow Community Developers and I love the opportunity to learn from their experiences,” Miranda said. The unique spirit of Atlanta is what Miranda loves best about her hometown. She loves all of the local businesses and the amazing people in the community.
In her free time, Miranda loves traveling with her family and photography. “Moments and memories over material things!” she exclaimed. Miranda views her family as her greatest personal accomplishment. She and her husband are doing their best to raise their sons to live “Christ-centered” lives and to make a positive difference in the lives of people they meet along their paths.
FUN FACT: I was born in Galveston, TX.
